Place one hand under the heel and one hand on top of your child’s foot and let both hands slide from the ankle to the toes at the same time, as if you were taking off the sock.
You can also stroke each toe between your thumb and forefinger, as if you were taking off their sock, toe by toe.
STROKE EACH TOE SOFTLY, WITHOUT PULLING HARD.

Gently and without applying pressure, place your hands flat in front of the eyes and open them at the temples as if you were ‘opening the shutters’, then close them back over the eyes to ‘close the shutters’.
THIS IS IDEAL TO MARK THE END OF A MASSAGE SESSION.

Gently place one of your hands flat on your child’s belly and then make increasingly larger circles around the navel, all over the belly, in a clockwise motion, without applying any pressure.
STAY IN THE NAVEL AREA WITHOUT MOVING TO THE CHEST OR THE PELVIS.

Then move your hands across the neck to the back of the head and down to the shoulders.
Then slide them to the base of the neck and to the upper part of the neck.

Use your finger tips, SO AS NOT TO SCRATCH THE SKIN.

Place one hand in the middle of the forehead in such a way as to ensure the largest possible surface area in contact with the skin and stroke your hand towards the temple.
Then place the other hand in the middle of the forehead and stroke it towards the other temple.
ALTERNATE THE TWO MOVEMENTS, AS IF STROKING THE FOREHEAD WITH A FEATHER.

Using your fingertips, draw a circle around each eye near the eyebrows at the base of the nose.
Then stroke along the arch of the eyebrow, under the eyes to the nose to return to the starting position.

Move the ankle up and down like a pendulum.
Do this very gently, without applying any pressure.

Take the child’s hand in yours, with the palm facing up.
Draw larger and larger circles in the centre of their palm with the thumb of your other hand, as if drawing a snail’s shell.

Place your fingertips on either side of your child’s ankle and then draw larger and larger circles around the ankle, as if drawing a snail’s shell.

Place your fingertips on your child’s temples and then make bigger and bigger circles, as if drawing a snail’s shell.

Make semi-circles alternately using your thumbs:
from the length of the fingers to the wrist.

Slide both hands up over the back and then back down in big waves, LIKE A SNAKE.

Then, with the thumb and index finger of your second hand, take hold of the tip of each finger and smooth it down to the fingertip, as if you were taking off a glove, finger by finger.

Stroke one thumb over the other, each in turn, as if you were drawing the rungs of a ladder.
Move to the base of the neck, then back down in the same motion, each thumb sliding under the other.

• Start with three simple touches on the back.
• Draw several furrows in the back with lines running from top to bottom, then plant the seeds with your index fingers, making dots from top to bottom.
• Make folds, without pinching, to backfill the furrows.
• Draw large circles to make the sun shine, then tap the back with your fingertips from top to bottom to make the rain fall.
• Draw the growing carrots with large upward strokes from the waist to the base of the neck, then finish with tickling all over the back to mimic the rabbit nibbling the carrots ...

• Place your hands flat and make three triangles to form the tree.
• Move your index finger to the lower back to show where the rabbit is sitting.
• Draw two ears with the same fingertip, then three whiskers on either side of the spine, form the rabbit’s large legs using the flat side of your hand on the lower back.
• To make the rabbit jump, move your hands to different places on the child’s back.
• For bold jumps and double backward somersaults, make twisting movements in the air before placing your hands back on its back.
• The sweat is represented by downward swipes, the messy hair by tickling and the whiskers by zigzags.
• Finally, draw the three triangles again with the flat hand and place one hand on top of the other at the bottom of the back.

You can imitate the sound of a train, ‘choo-choo’, when doing this movement.
