Fondation La Roche-Posay: supporting research, dermatology initiatives and improving quality of life for children with cancer
About Fondation La Roche-Posay
Created in 1995 under the aegis of Fondation de France, Fondation La Roche-Posay strives to encourage actions with dermatologists working in scientific and humanitarian fields.
Fondation La Roche-Posay rewards and funds innovative work by young dermatology researchers across four continents, through its annual awards and grants. To date, more than 130 projects have been backed all around the world, for example in the fields of photoprotection, atopic dermatitis and skin allergy.
The Foundation’s focus on society is especially reflected in the ‘Dermatologist from the heart’ initiative. Launched in 2011, it consists of helping dermatologists who are dedicated to improving their patients’ quality of life, through grants worth €10,000. Nearly a dozen countries have already joined the project, and 40 projects have been partially funded.
In 2019, Fondation La Roche-Posay and its partners are committed to a vast programme devoted to childhood cancer. Alongside families, the Foundation works to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and optimise their treatment acceptance. Through concrete actions designed and implemented from start to finish, it operates on the ground for a cause that, more than ever, needs support and visibility.
